Mushrooms in soil?

The first time a group of three mushrooms seemed to appear overnight in between my triplet bag seed plants, I cut them out muddled them and put them in my compost. It’s been two weeks and now a new mushroom is popping it’s head out of the soil. I have read articles going either way about keeping them growing and wanted to get another opinion
