Help with topping (aiming to use manifold technique)

This is my second grow. It’s a Runtz photo. She struggled in the beginning but we’re looking good now. I’ve read at the 3rd node, 5th node, 8th node. So when does topping work best for you? I’d like to do it between 2 and 3 so I can start training down early. Her rebound is great. I’m convinced she’s good and healthy.
Ff soil No nutes yet but I will use ff trio with cal mag and molasses later
Ph treated water at 6.4 ppm 150 (well water)
