I honestly don't think it's vacuum. I think they're just saying "hermetically sealed".
A vacuum would arguably degrade terps faster because lower pressure tends to lower boiling point.
The ideal curing jar would probably seal up then let you put in a nitrogen capsule and cure at slight overpressure. Or maybe I'm too high.

This is like the real yardstick. If it does the gas maintenance for you then fuck yes it's worth it.
If it's just some temperature controlled container then get right the fuck out with it.
