In the last twitch stream that obsidian hosted for grounded they mentioned the different types of aphids. Which got me thinking about possible variants for different bugs. Kinda like how we have the different larva, ladybugs, and so on. It would be cool if we could see those around the map. Maybe making the pink/rose and black aphids more rare and depending on where you are in the map depends on your chances of finding them. Same could go for weevils. I know this is a small idea in the scope of what a lot of people want from the game, but I definitely think it could add more variety and maybe add some depth to our friendly critters around the yard. They could even make it so cooking with the different aphids or weevils have different affects on your food/smoothies. Kinda like how you can get different types of the same smoothie using the different bases.
