Downloaded the update, was SO EXCITED. FRESH CONTENT!!! For the first time in 3 months, And just when I was losing hope.

And then I played it.

Now...I'm a simple man, who likes simple things. And this game USED to be simple. When the combat turned "dark souls" and you had to perfect block every bug all the time or insta die, Ya, sure. They are massive. I'll buy that.

Then, I had to grind, and smack, and bash, and plot out HOARDS OF QUARTZITE. More quartzite then makes any actual sense even in universe! SO MUCH just to make my weapons...go back to what they were? Strange...but, sure. I'll buy that too.

But now, I am farming GRUBS, so many poor grubs. Why? A hide turns into parts, then mix those parts back together? And that's just for the first part of armor. I still feel SO weak, and that was my issue with the weapons update. Yes, Giant bugs should be hard. But if I'm stabbing you with a flaming carbon katana, Idk, maybe you SHOULD die easy.

And now, after reading everything, why even play? If I kill too many things...which is the point of the game, I'll have to double-NO! TRIPLE my house walls and line them with guns and spikes!!! What...what....why. WHY?

This game has gone beyond what it was supposed to be. A simple, Survive a cartoony backyard. As others have expressed, this game is now 80% grind. And 20% explore/survive. Weapons are weak, armor is weak, exploration is pointless if you die in one shot, and fighting leads to base death. Progression is a mess with upgrades and tiers needing this and that, and the worst ... WORST of all.

Without doing something scummy or game breaking, MIXRS are just too hard. If I can't repair the b***tard mid fight, will I need to just find weird online people to farm it open? Raw Science was still kind of a grind from the start, and I guess I didn't know what to expect, but even in full roly poly and a WEEB sword, I can't win. I'm just reloading failure save files over and over to cling to hope.

I don't think the Devs even know what they want this to be. Just give us the Ant Queen, let us use the biggy machine, and end this torment already and say you did your best.

Because at this point, unless they make it a full on RPG, where enough grinding makes you out NUMBERS any enemy, the grind is a pointless slog back up to mediocrity, which causes your base builds to be destroyed.
