At 600 hours in this game, I could write a thesis on the great aspects that make GD debatably the best ARPG out there right now. The only frustrating part is how DLC content overlaps with general progression (normal, elite, ultimate).
Once you finish the main campaign, your character is ready for Elite. You know that XP and drops will be better in Elite too. Still, the fact looms in your brain that you still have a massive amount of content left in Normal, most notably, 6 factions that you won't start leveling until you complete their quests. Also, in a choice between repeating the same content you have run through hundreds of times compared to the content you have only experienced a handful of times (plus totally new 1.1.6 for me!)... it's tempting to eat the bullet of general progression to blast through DLC stuff.
Maybe the most frustrating aspect of this is that I have no desire or expectation for Crate to address this, because there isn't a good solution. DLC content scales higher than base game which is nice, but you could have instead been ready to tackle the DLC in Elite by the time you finish it.
My only dreamed-up solution would be some sort of item that you could transfer and gives a character a handful of XP in all factions (or just DLC ones) so that you can start earning rep from kills at the least. Also if it gave a hub with all the faction vendors that would be beyond dope. Make it available from a mysterious NPC that only shows up in Ultimate after you have revered in all factions (except Kymon's/Order obv).
