I love ARPGs and this one has been sitting in my library for a bit, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I was reading what will change in the upcoming big patch, and have been holding off.
I'm really excited to jump in with a HC character, as it the best way to play the game for me. The QOL changes and mechanical changes sounds like it will ease some of the tedium of the grind a bit, and should make for a better HC experience from what I can tell.
Anyone else waiting to get started when this patch hits?
You all are so passionate about this game, I feel as I have no choice now haha. Gonna jump into it tonight!
HC ftw. The weight of every decision is thrilling. Thanks for the tips!
Yeah, I'm thinking of jumping in a regular character and learning the early game a bit. When the patch drops, then swap over to a HC character. The game seems pretty big overall.
What's the potion? I might be tempted to race for that.
I didn't know about the meta progression. That's really good to know. I like "rogue like" features that make every run feel meaningful even if it's a small boon overall.

Good point. I'm fine dying early on, so maybe learning the mechanics a bit now ain't a bad idea!
