Hi,
I [M20] currently live in Norway and are going to attend university next year. As I am pretty tired of the weather in Norway I’ve been thinking about moving to Australia in search of better weather and (hopefully) a little warmer people :P
As my GPA is pretty high I’m apparently elegible for 50% scholarship which puts my yearly cost at 41 500 AUD/y -> 20 750 AUD/y. My GPA would also allow me to study at the best uni in norway (top 100 world wide for tech) for basically free, but I’m so tired of living here and I would have to move from Stavanger to Trondheim (difference is about 3 meters of snow 3 hours to 0 hours of daylight in the winter). I suffer from pretty bad winter depression and struggle with being outside when it’s cold and dark.
My question would be: Am I making a mistake giving up free university to come to Australia? What are the opportunities here? How good is Griffith for tech and would it look good to an international employer that I’ve studied abroad? In Norway I’d make atleast 115k AUD, how are the opportunities in Australia?
