Christmas and Thanksgiving use to be my favorite times of the year. This year my grandfather passed in early October. I have not been able to get in to the holiday spirt this year. I have 2 young kids and its just been a challenge to be excited about the holidays for them this year. Last year I lost my other grandfather and an uncle. All 3 use to love this time of year, one grandpa would decorate like crazy, my uncle always had a giant bag of gifts for the kids and just always happy when we would see him. The grandpa that just passed would decorate but his joy came from being around all the kids and family. We live the opposite side of the country from our families so to be with them during the holidays can be challenging. Its hard knowing i am not going to see or hear from any of them. Its been difficult to focus on work and family lately and not sure how to get past that. If you made it this far and have any suggestions I would be glad to hear.
Thank you
