Hi. I (22f) just got the call 30 minutes ago that my grandfather, who was perfectly healthy, is now gone. I’ve experienced death before, but never like this. I had an uncle that passed and while I was sad, I don’t remember it hurting like this. My grandpa was basically raising me. He handled all my accounts, made sure I had food, everything. He was my father, and I loved him. I usually talk to him everyday, but not yesterday. I didn’t get to say goodbye. I didn’t get to tell him that I loved him one last time. I could’ve gone to visit him Thursday, but because of my antidepressants I just didn’t feel like moving, and now I regret it. I don’t know how to live in a world without him. It feels, for lack of better wording, like my heart is hurting, like someone took it from me. I don’t know what to do. How do I go on?
