Hey Folks!

I have largely been absent here for some time, and wanted to both apologize and explain why that was.

Some background: I have a couple of disabling diseases, and I’ve spent the past year thinking I was being admitted to the hospital repeatedly for them. I’ve been insanely sick for almost 2 years, but disabled since 2004. During the course of these last couple of years, I found the term “greysexuality” and found myself. I was blown away that there was a name and other people like me!! Well, like many of you, I went looking for our community for support, and to share my joy in finding myself. This community was dead, totally defunct. So I petitioned Reddit to breathe new life in it and make it a safe space for us all. I’d never been admin nor a mod before, but it was important to me to have community for us. So with no trouble at all, I was handed the reins for this subreddit. It was a steep learning curve!! But I tried to learn the ins and outs of being a mod.

Sometime shortly thereafter, I noted the indubitable u/crazycorgiqueen was brilliantly supporting the community through her comments. As I was wrestling more and more with my health, I invited her to be a mod with me, and much of the decor is due to her hard work. Props and kudos to her, and tons of thanks!!!

Fast forward to 2021: I’ve been in the hospital more than out. I am just home from another lengthy stay where I learned I have lymphodema and Congestive Heart Failure. I also found out I have a fungal pneumonia and that’s why antibiotics weren’t helping me get better! So now that I have the proper diagnosis and can therefore be properly treated, I’m feeling better and am able to rejoin you all as a moderator should!

I deeply apologize for not being present for so long. I definitely read every post, but couldn’t muster to respond. I’m back now. Feel free to contact me with anything you need pertaining to your Path as a greysexual. I’m not a professional therapist, but I’m here for you. Let’s continue to grow this sub and support each other as I’ve seen you do for so long now. Thanks for keeping us alive for all who seek their truth as we have!!
