Armour being blackened.

I'm creating my proxy for Kaldor Draigo and I understand that the Custodes armour becomes blackened over time from spent around the Emperor due to his psychic powers, would it make sense to make for my Paladin squad who fight alongside "the most powerful Grey Knight" to have their armour blackened or no because they are also psychers?
