Plates under heel/support when squatting
Post Body

Hey so I have been getting quite a bit of discomfort when squatting recently that I didnā€™t run into a few years back. I think Iā€™m leaning too far forward and also just struggling with a comfortable squatting movement. I have flat feet and some of the gym staff recommended plates or a wooden block under my heel to help the movement.

The thing is I donā€™t want to do anything that ā€œhelpsā€ my lifts in an unnatural way. For example I wouldnā€™t want to use straps for deadlifts as Iā€™d want to do it naturally until my grip caught up, so same here. If itā€™s a muscle imbalance problem Iā€™d rather just continue until itā€™s fixed. If it wonā€™t affect that though Iā€™m happy to do it. What are your thoughts?
