Took your advice from my last post 3 months ago and started a bulk. Should I continue or start to dial it back?

Post Body

164 lbs in the top row, 175 lbs in the bottom. Roughly 90 days difference. I know that amount of time lifting is nothing, but I’m seeking advice on if I should continue this bulk, or reduce my calories for a few weeks to shed a couple of pounds of fat and then continue with the bulk. I definitely feel fuller than I was, but I also am starting to feel fluffy. Out of these 11 lbs I don’t know how much of that was muscle versus fat, but I’m hoping that I’m doing this right and approaching it the right way. Any advice or criticism is welcome!

At 164 lbs I was eating roughly 1800 calories a day as I was trying to lose fat coming from 213 lbs (see post history)

Since then, I’ve increased my calories to 2300-2400 calories a day, consuming about 180g of protein, and started taking creatine as well.

I do a PPL dumbbell only routine at home 4-5 days a week with a set of Bowflex adjustable dumbbells. Each workout last about 45-60 minutes.

I need to overcome my fear of getting fat again lol. I’m eating slightly above maintenance, but I think I could probably be eating more.

Thanks for the input! I figured a lot of the weight gain is water weight from the initial calorie increase and then the creatine after that. I’m on the fence but I’ll probably ride it out until the new year and reassess I suppose.

For reference I am 28 years old and 5’10”
