To be clear, I love survival games like the Long Dark and Subnautica, just had some help getting thru the Forest and figured I’d give Green Hell another go. I have over 20 hours logged on stream and picked it up on switch. I want to love this game so bad, but my god does it just make me rage. Why is crafting basic items so confusing? Radial menu-backpack-select item-other-craft, then u need to know the recipe. I tried to craft a shelter to save and my axe broke while cutting down trees, it’s like 20 minutes of farming items and getting lost in menus just to do the most basic of tasks. I really don’t see how this is enjoyable compared to all the other survival games out there. I love the added immersion, just not the menus on top of menus. Like I said, over 20 hours on file with multiple systems and I’ve barely seen what this game has to offer, I want to love it but this starting learning curve is way too high
