Advice about winter gear I will need and anything I should know about spending January/February in GF?
Post Body

Hello everyone. I am looking for any advice you all can give me about clothing/shoes/layering etc to get through a January and February in GF. I may be heading to GF for a work contract for these two months and want to start planning what I may need. Housing is taken care of. Don’t know about the car, but I am told the place is only a 10 min drive from where I’ll work. But don’t know if that’s the case for winter. So I’m looking for any tips you all can provide. What is your favorite piece of clothing to keep you best insulated? What is the best winter jacket that also helps with the wind. Can you usually find someone to pay to help plow the driveway if needed(working with some severe disc herniations)? I do enjoy the outdoors but I don’t think I would be comfortable going out in the middle of winter in unfamiliar territory, so what else can one fill their free time with? Any and all advice and tips are welcome!
