Looking for a factory amp replacement for a dinosaur, a 94, any recs?

Helping the BF get some parts for his new toy, a 94 with the Infinity sound system, and apparently the amp is blown which makes the whole system silent. He/I don't want to put much money in a sound system, he just wants it to work, and I hear the easiest way is to just replace the stock amplifier, but the ones on ebay are incredibly overpriced, and classified sites are turning up zilch. Does anyone know of a compatible amp that would work with the stock system, or maybe have one lying in a dust pile that they would like to sell?
