I saw a post made 10 years ago about the differences and pros and cons of each and I just wondered how much has changed since then in the way of aftermarket support and model longevity. I’m in the market for one. I owned a 98 limited 5.2 and absolutely loved it, and spent a bunch of time in and around my buddy’s WJ limited 4.7. I have a chance to buy an 06 Laredo 3.7 with 107k miles for $3k. I’m wondering if I should be looking for a V8 with the better 4wd or if the AWD will be sufficient for a daily driver and occasional overland adventures/camping with a small lift and slightly oversized all-terrains. Or would I be better off looking for a WJ.
