Just yesterday, I received an email from the admissions team from a master of science program I applied in Dec and they requested that I complete an interview so that they can assess my spoken English.
Despite that I do not have US citizenship, I have received education and lived in the US for god knows how long and maintained a high GPA through my undergraduate years. I know that their evaluation is probably not targeted at me personally but at a larger pool of applicants whose mother tongueโs not English; however, I still felt offended/mistrusted for a minute :โ)
This post might read like a rant and sorry about that. I am assuming that some others might be able to relate to my experience?
