TLDR can I subcontract as a disabled veteran owned business and if I can how can I tell which ones iā€™m allowed to

I am the owner of my own Sole Prop that for the most part focuses on pass through contracts. I have landed a couple with the help of the CO's and other peers who work in the industry. Basically I have only won small contracts that had few or no other bids. I want to branch out into service contracts and I have a wealth of contractors I work with that I could subcontract. I spoke to a couple people and they told me either, Set aside contracts were 100% fine to subcontract and sole source were not or that I could not sub contract at all.

I spoke to my local PTAC and the guy they assigned me told me he never even did work with government contracting so he was no help
