Acrylic gouache on canvas board. Thanks to all of you for the love on the progress pic! I decided to follow my instincts and go with Red, but I have visions of jackalopes and kirins dancing in my head. Expecting some really fun pieces as winter starts to bear down heavy up here.
I’m trying to find a tutorial or tips on how to do the color gradient like you did here for a forest or even city background like yours? Don’t/Does anyone have any ideas?
Thank you so much, you’re the best!! Check in on this thread if you think of it down the road and remind me (I get overwhelmed keeping track of things on Reddit and have some memory issues) but I hope I’ll have something cool to show you that honors/encapsulates the beauty of your own work :)

You’re amazing thank you so so much!!! I’m going to try and figure out how to do this with alcohol markers! (Would you mind if I actually referenced your piece here as I doodle and play around with layering the markers? No worries if not of course!!) Thanks so much for the specific suggestions I’ll go find those guys right away!
