Advice for adding style more style?
Post Body

Trans woman in her 40s... and I'm looking for some advice on how I might add some better (or more) style to my look and wardrobe. First pic is most recent.

Years ago, I fell in love with a guy who really hated the goth look. Finding love in this world is already hard enough when you're trans (it's hard for all of us, lets be real) and I really dialed it all back for him, big time. It's also been years since I've been in any way connected to the scene here in Portland...

I'm trying to get the person I used to be back. I grew up in the pre-Manson / pre-Hot Topic romantic 90s era. I love victorian, romance, and trad style. I really want to add more of the romantic / "fantasy" element back?

Victorian dress, corsets, gowns... but I'm having trouble finding the right fit? I feel like my look is still pretty basic.

I desperately need accessories, but Im hoping to find something better and more ornate than Amazon stuff that won't kill me with cost.

I've seen dresses on devilinspired that I love, but at 5'8" and my weight there's no way I'd fit into any of them...

I'd also like to do "more" with my makeup, but if I go too white it always seems to look a bit splotchy / cakey. Like it will take a good photo but doesn't look right irl...

What "more" can I do here? I feel like I'm too overweight for a lot of looks... specifically where can I find decent accessories, and clothes that suit my age range? And clothes that I can find that work for a size 14-16? At least until I can lose more weight?

Thanks!
