The ending of the reboot was kind of dorky. I think at first they were trying to do a fab five texas cheerleader thing with the whole students using their privilege against teachers.
If that was the approach they were going for then they should’ve made the popular group vindictive and do different schemes towards teachers but all we really got was a tiny threat from Monet during the first episode and the bribes from the De haans.
The teachers decided to create a wedge between them by focusing on a love triangle. Did they really think that would help them become better students?
It was also a mistake in their part because now Kate Keller has probably more screentime so they’re not able to create better storylines for the actual main cast.
I think the writers were also losing the whole point of the show. We’re not here to watch a teacher get so obsessed with power to the point where she’s so desperate for credit for the entire thing.
I also didn’t understand why we needed to know Kate’s personal life, like her dad remarrying. Was that even necessary to the Plot?.
I wish they just scrapped the idea of a teacher being GG and instead made GG a mysterious and neutral entity.
