I use to google voice after some time after my manager showed it to back in 2016. Obviously from now everything has changed. But, one of my pain points with Google Voice once they update their app on (Desktop) which had a more sleeker look but you couldn't delete more than one message and I believe this was in 2020. I know that I haven't google voice up in awhile but after seeing Google made some Minor but (significant impact) update, I think I will go back to google voice as oppose to using text now service.
The other pain points since I have android phone which google also own every time I would add a contact to google voice it would sync with my personal contacts, and I absolutely hated that. Maybe is there a way that you can stop syncing contacts from google voice on Android phones? If so this would be another huge plus.
