"There is something wrong with your account" - Unable to setup payment method.

I've been trying to set up my payments on google pay/wallet for a while now but it gives me this error. When I look into the details I am asked to submit an official ID. Which I already sent Google a week ago but haven't received even an acknowledgement back.
Not even sure what exactly the issue is.... anyone have insights or similar experience?
