Frustrated with Gaming Performance

So I had a Pixel 3 XL and I love to play Call of Duty mobile. I figure i'd get the 6 Pro for the better camera and better gaming performance since it's a new device.

Well this thing runs it worse than my pixel 3 xl. I don't know what is happening but it regularly dips down to 20fps and feels like a hot mess of garbage in my hands. It's extremely frustrating because I assumed with the 120hz I'd be getting enough of a phone to keep it locked in at 60 . Minecraft runs at 120fps for some reason.

Also the selfie camera is very bad. I feel like this phone was not an upgrade. Just very frustrated.
