A couple of days ago I cracked the screen on my Pixel 6 Pro. Two Fi support sessions over 24 hours later, I've learned that the device protection plan does not offer screen replacement for the 6 Pro. My only option is the $150 total replacement of the device.
I'm frustrated for 2 reasons:
1) Instead of just saying "we don't offer that option for the 6 Pro", the first agent lied to me and said it was filed, but I needed to get back onto support chat the next day to get the claim code for ubreakifix. Weird, I thought, but sometimes systems are buggy/slow.
2) Screen replacement is a cheaper and much, much more convenient option that has been available on device protection for at least a couple of years. I've used it several times on my Pixel 3 XL.
They made it sound like maybe they'll offer screen replacement in the future, but had no details to share.
So... I guess I'm going to ubreakifix this afternoon to see if they can do it directly.
