It's time for Google to offer one more year of updates

Now that Google introduced the adaptive battery charging that will theoretically increase the general lifespan of the battery it's time for Google to offer 4 years of major updates, this will give a shock to the android market and someone is already copying this strategy, like Samsung with now 3 years of updates. This will also attract more users who cannot decide wether to buy an iPhone or an android, or simply someone who wanna switch from Apple to Google, do you agree with me?
