Post Body

Hello,!

I don't need huge power but I don't want performance hiccups. On the other hand I want good battery life and obviously if I can go with a cheaper option (if it's performance can compare) then I'd opt for the cheaper m3. So essentially what I'm asking is, I am a college student and I want to be able to have decent mutlitasking capability and maybe some heavier tasking programs (not sure what yet, but future proofing - yes I know chrome os is somewhat limited in multimedia apps right now but it's growing). I also want good battery life. What is better for what I'm trying to do? Core m3 or Core i5? I don't know much about the m3 other than that it runs off of 5w vs the i5s 45w.. that's a pretty significant difference. I suspect that the m3 would be a battery champ but maybe not so much in the performance department? Seems like it's closer in spec to a nVidia Tegra K1 series chip.. I'd appreciate it y'all opinion on this, thanks in advance kind redditors!
