(Pixel 1 XL) Anybody else having issues with the Google app not loading AMP pages?
Post Body

For about the past week the Google app on my Pixel XL hasn't been able to load/display any web pages that make use of Google's AMP service, whether I'm trying to load the page from a Google search or from the feed of articles - only a blank white page is displayed. This has just about rendered the Google app completely useless, considering that just about all articles on my feed and most search results are loaded through AMP.

This is not a problem when using the Chrome browser.

I've sent feedback to Google multiple times regarding this issue and haven't received a response (to be expected). I've searched the internet a bit, but wasn't able to find anyone else with this problem. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Google app updates, joined the beta program for this app and tried that, and left the beta and reinstalled the regular version. Nothing has worked so far. Oh and in the process of removing/reinstalling the updates I've lost the ability to train the assistant to listen for "Hey Google", which I just got last week and was pretty happy about.

I'm posting here as a last ditch effort. Has anybody here experienced this? Got a suggestion?

Edit: I'm running 8.1 with the latest security patches, and all apps are up to date. I haven't installed any new apps for a couple months either.
