Does the Pixel8a remote factory reset only work if the phone has "Find your Android" activated?
I had my phone stolen the other day, I was able to briefly track it but it looks like the thief turned off the android tracking. I had a brief window when I was able to remote factory reset, but I'm not sure if the request went through or was completed.
I did receive this follow up email. Will the Factory Reset still go through as long as the phone has data?
"A request was made through Find My Device to reset your device to factory settings. We’ll try to erase all data from this device. If it’s offline, erasing will begin once it’s online again. If you didn’t make this request, change your password to secure your Google Account now."
