Before I order again, genuinely interested to know what's up with the warehouses/shipping issues

Greetings,
I've attempted to order two Pixels from the store through Fi in the last year, both in stock, both with paid express shipping. Days past after the expected arrival date and they never ship. So I cancel and try again some months later. Support is always clueless.
Are there any plans to fix this, or use some other 3rd party warehouse that's half decent, or is it deeper, like the google store not being able to show actual inventory and the things I order just not being in stock?
Genuine question, trying to think through placing an order for some Nest products and maybe trying Fi just one more time, but I'm starting to regret switching from iOS as I've I've never had issues like this with a company before.
