When wearing my Pixel Buds I get all notifications, except phone calls

I've been digging through settings, but nothing catches my eye, hoping someone here can help.
When I'm wearing my Pixel Buds (both the 2's and the Pros), I get notified for everything- texts beeps and says the name of the person texting, other notifications I just get a short beep. But for phone calls- nothing. If I'm listening to music, I actually can tell I'm getting a phone call because it stops the music, but otherwise, I don't get anything.
