Is there any benefit of upgrading to Pixel 6a from Pixel 3 for the camera?

Post Body
I've read that both these phones have exactly the same camera, same sensor, same F stop, same megapixel. However, I heard the processor is better on 6a.
Do the photos and the videos look better because the processor is better even if the camera is the same?
Why did Google use the same sensor for so many years? And if the sensor is the same, does it necessarily mean that the camera quality is the same across all these Pixel phones?
