Is the bus symbol supposed to move as you move along the route?

https://share.icloud.com/photos/08691CV-yxUlFf5itLfmRMTXQ The image shows the route but it doesn’t seem to update as we move. Is this normal? I’m on a CTA bus in Chicago and I have noticed this on both trains and buses. It’s like it doesn’t notice I am on the bus. Other apps the bus indicator moves as you move.
