Hey,
I am sorry if this has been asked before but our school quite urgently needs help regarding the meets one can start from a classroom course. We are currently in a lockdown situation so distance-learning is urgently necessary for us.
Currently we don't have control over who is an admin of the meeting, so sometimes students cannot be muted by a teacher.
Also, students can start a meet through that link on their own, creating traffic and liability issues. Because who can control what they do on that meet link if they decide to go there at 3am or something.
The emergency "solution" that was issued today was to disable the meet link after every lesson of a course but that seems like the nuclear option for me.
I even contacted our admin and asked him to disable the students's ability to start video calls, which was shown as the solution to the problem in another help post. He then did that but as a student in the course, I can still start a meet through that link on my own. So that's why my fellow teachers are sort of panicking.
Any help and best practices would really be appreciated.
