Need help scanning document in landscape mode

Hey, sorry if its a noob question but i recently got goodnotes on my new ipad and am trying to digitalise my notes. Right now i am trying to scan my paper notes into my goodnotes notebook in landscape template. But when i scan the pages it gives a weird scan as shown in pic. I use the landscape template when scanning but it automatically uses portrait page and theres blank spaces in top and bottom. I need to scan lot of pages and is there an easy workaround for this so it uses landscape pages for scan instead of portrait.
