You've been apprenticed with the archmage for awhile and tonight, you were granted a reprieve from your usual cleaning duties. The archmage sent you directly to your chambers after supper and instructed you to not to leave the room.
Not knowing what to make of this extra free time, you puttered around and after awhile, tried the door, intending to get a quick drink of water before bed. Unusually, you found that the door was locked. No matter, you would be fine for the night.
Not thinking much of it, you were settling down with a book when your door quietly swung open and a stranger stepped in.
