So we are here, once again because we have new and improved flair and will be implementing cross verification with /r/gonewild(soon to be automatic) and /r/gonewildcurvy(message the mods there with your verification).

Because of this we implemented (stole/borrowed) the /r/gonewild flair for a couple of reasons

• A It keeps a better/more uniform style across the 2 subs (as different as they are)

• B because we have graphics as flair now, instead of ascii we will be able to automagicially assign flair across both subreddits when getting verification (I had hoped gonewildcurvy would be able to participate in automatic flair, but it didn't work out)

Everyone who was already verified got the upgraded flair (see below on how to get that in the future) and now for some copypasta....

Because everybody seems to forget this, remember that verification is COMPLETELY OPTIONAL AND IS IN NO WAY REQUIRED (unless we ask you to, because we don't believe you are who you say you are)

Want to get verified? Post a clear pic of yourself, showing as much as you can --or a distinctive part of you-- and make sure "verification" is in the submission title. As an example:

Verification [m] ~ 'sup everbody?

Please try to avoid the following:

Veri[f]ication
Please verify me!
This is who I am!

As those are harder for us to monitor for, even if it seems like they're not. Please just play ball, and that helps everyone, k?

Your submission should contain at least one picture of your own handwriting on (you holding a card/you holding a piece of paper/your own body) that states each of these things:

Your username (make sure it matches the name under which you are submitting exactly)
Today's date (again, make sure it matches the submission date): Ex: 3/6/12
A mention of reddit or GWP, so we know you're not some troll who swiped a verification posted to /b/ or something (sup /b/?)
Don't forget your own handwriting mentioned above.

Suggestion: including multiple photos of you and your verification text from multiple angles will help you get verified quicker (and reduce any community suspicion that they are faked)

Notice: Nothing on here says "PLEASE SHOW YOUR FACE" ... you're welcome to not show your face, just enough that it will look consistently like you in the future

When verified, you get a little piece of custom flair next to your username:

Regular alien : for verification

Pink alien: verified female -active poster for 3 months, responds to commenters often

Blue alien: verified male -Same as above (makes nice comments works too)

Yellow alien: For couples

Rainbow alien: for LGBT verification

Green alien: MOD

I borrowed some stuff from GW because I thought they did a good job with it:

Your post must be public, so that users have the opportunity to compare it to other posts. Please do not delete your verification post. If you do, you may lose your verification status.
Please expose as much of your body as you are comfortable exposing. If you're just showing hands and a sign, then your successive posts show a full supermodel body, it may be hard to confirm that the verification was in fact you. Help us out and show some skin. If you don't want to show much... take some time to warm up to [7] /r/GoneWildPlus before this process? No need to rush! Get comfortable first =]
