Summary - your fiancé comes out as a transwoman. It's a realization she has only just made peace with. You are the first person she has ever told about it. She is terrified of your response, but she needs to tell you because hiding it is absolutely destroying her. She's afraid that you will leave, that you will call the wedding off, because you're straight and the thought of being with her as a woman will disgust you.
You react with an absolute firestorm of love. You didn't fall in love with the concept of the male gender. You didn't fall in love with an "M" checkmark on a legal form. You fell in love with her, an individual. And if loving her means calling her "wife" instead of "husband", if it means being a "lesbian" instead of straight, then fuck it, that's what you'll do. Because that's what true love means to you.
I couldn't have put it any better myself! I loved this idea when I read it and immediately wanted to get to work in bringing it to life. I sincerely hope you enjoy reading it.
Thank you to u/oom1999 for this idea and to u/Rosymaplemothwitch for beta reading.
