Premise: A transgender Magical Girl has permanently taken her magical form in order to avoid returning to a male body. When a nasty fight requires her to take a hit to save a civilian, she is reverted to her male form, and she ends up coming out to her best friend and ally when she wakes up…

Speaker Inclusivity: The speaker is a cis woman. The script could theoretically let her be a non-binary woman, but it would completely change some background information and would change some of the listener's concerns throughout the piece. Regardless of changes to the script, the speaker has to use feminine pronouns and feminine titles (like girl) for the Magical Girls theme.

Listener Inclusivity: The listener is a trans woman. This is important to the story and may not be changed without completely restructuring everything, but by that point this would be an entirely different piece. No changing this.

This is simultaneously one of my saddest and happiest pieces yet. While most of my pieces deal with the dysphoria that a character has, due to them generally being gender transformation pieces, this one somehow feels a bit different due to the listener's continued dysphoria, guilt, and self-loathing. Despite that, the speaker does her best for the listener, and the two of them are happier for it.

I got the urge to make this piece because I wanted to make something involving magical girls. I, admittedly, haven't actually watched magical girl shows or read much manga besides the super edgy one with the one trans character and the heart gun. Regardless, I always loved the idea of a transgender magical girl who shapeshifted into a full girl whenever she was in her magical state, and that's what I went with for this piece. The rest of the pieces just kind of fell into place afterwards, and we ended up getting what you see before you now.
