In the past, we have accepted verification from any sub on reddit, mostly out of convenience. Why do it yourself if you can outsource, amirite? The problem with handling verification that way is that some subreddits are more careful with verification than others. Some employ time-tested, successful methods of verification, while others would verify a cheese sandwich if it was wearing a bikini ;)

Well, we've now got a cadre of moderators with the time and the experience for us to be able to handle verification in-house. From today forward, the only subreddit verifications we will accept are:

• /r/gonewild

• /r/milf

• /r/realgirls

• /r/amateur

• /r/holdthemoan

  and of course our own in-house verification.

If you are already verified, you will remain verified. But please understand that if, at any time, a moderator feels that your original 3rd party verification doesn't meet our standards, you may be asked to reverify with us directly. This isn't to pick on you or to inconvenience you, it's to protect you. Consent is vitally important to us. We just want to ensure that the person in the pic/vid has fully consented to having their body posted here, and rigorous verification is the best way for us accomplish that goal. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.

For those who are currently verified, please read up on our guidelines for verified posters. There'll be a quiz, so study up!

Some of the more important items from the guidelines:

3. No mentions of any social media (Snapchat, Instagram, Kik, websitess, etc) in titles or in comments.

4. No promoting your own sub in /r/GoneMild. You may watermark your submissions with your EXACT Reddit username, but not your subreddit (/u/username is ok, /r/subredditname is not). No personal subreddit or external website watermarks.

8. No titles begging for upvotes (upvote for more!, show me some love, etc). This includes fishing/pity post/milestone type titles (my bf broke up with me :(, i think my BODY PART is too big/small, had a shitty day :( cheer me up, THANKS FOR THE ELEVENTY-JILLION FOLLOWERS, etc)

FULL VERIFICATION INSTRUCTIONS

What is verification?

"Verification" is the process of proving that the person in the picture consents to being photographed and posted, or better yet, is the actual submitter of the link. Verification is required for every single OC participant. We care about the person in the photographs and want to make sure she is not being exploited. Please pardon the inconvenience if/when we require you to verify or ask you to improve your verification pics. We're just trying to look out for you.

How do I get verified?

Firstly, familiarize yourself with the rules of the sub, which are listed in the sidebar. It's a lot to read, but they are very important. When you're finished reading the rules, proceed...

Send a message to GoneMild modmail that contains at least 3 color pictures of yourself in clothes that you would typically wear while posting, from 3 distinctly different angles, holding a hand-written sign in your hand(s) that includes:

1. Your exact reddit username

2. Today's date, including the year (must match the date you submit your verification)

3. A mention of /r/GoneMild (to confirm the person holding the sign knows where it is being posted)

4. The paper shall be crumpled in a ball then smoothed, yet still readable.

5. Upload the images to catbox.moe, lensdump.com, or redgifs.com. DO NOT UPLOAD THEM TO IMGUR.COM, THEY NO LONGER ALLOW NSFW CONTENT!!

6. COPY THE IMAGE LINKS AND PASTE THEM INTO THE BODY OF YOUR MESSAGE TO THE MODERATORS.

IMPORTANT!

• New and low karma accounts cannot be verified. If you've only been on reddit for a short time, have low karma, and/or you haven't done much NSFW self-posting on reddit, you'll be asked to build up your posting history for a couple weeks before verifying here. NSFW posting isn't for everyone, and we want you to "get your feet wet" by posting in some other subs first.

• Use black or blue ink on white or light color paper.

• Hold the sign in your hand(s).

• Do not color-correct or apply any other type of digital manipulation/editing to the photos.

• Shoot your images from as wide an angle as you can manage. Closely cropped images will be rejected!

• Posted verification albums will be ignored. They MUST be sent via modmail

• Keep your sign! We might ask you to take additional pictures.

• Show as much of your body as possible (doesn't have to be nude). If we can't match the body depicted in your verification pictures to the body in your past and future posts, then it's not a meaningful verification. So while you do not have to show your face, we do need to see a good amount of your body.

• Make sure the sign is at a distinctly different angle (as opposed to being "straight-on") in each image. Crumple the sign up into a ball and then take your pictures with the sign uncrumpled! This creates a lot of random angles in the paper, and helps convince the mods that the sign was not photoshopped.

• Be prepared to be slightly inconvenienced by us. We want to make sure you're you! If we ask you to resubmit pictures, you are NOT being singled out. We do this all the time. Just read these directions carefully, and hang in there. We'll get you verified!

• BE NICE ABOUT IT. We know verification can be a little annoying, but we're just looking out for the people in our pictures! We don't want anyone to be exploited. If you were asked to resubmit verification, make a new sign, or anything like that, please be chill about it. Please do not flip us off in the picture, and please do not use post titles like "The asshole mods won't show my posts unless I verify, so here you go. Fuck you." We're real people over here! We're sorry you're annoyed, but if you make the process more difficult or make us hate our jobs, we're simply not going to prioritize your verification.

• Please do not take the picture with a potato. If you're stuck with a crappy webcam, you may be able to mitigate the issue by making sure there is TONS of light in the room from multiple sources. But if your verification pictures are so low quality that we can't read the sign or be reasonably sure it wasn't faked, we might deny your verification.

• UNALTERED/UNFILTERED COLOR IMAGES ONLY. The photos should be in full color, no black & white images. Do not apply instagram/snapchat filters or use photo editing software on your verification photos.

FAQ

Do you accept verification from subreddit XYZ?

At present, the only subreddits whose verification process meets our standards are /r/RealGirls and /r/Amateur. If you are verified there, send us a Modmail and let us know. If you're not verified in either of those subs, you'll have to complete our verification process successfully to be verified here.

Do I have to show my face?

Absolutely not! The purpose of verification is NOT to connect your picture to a real-life identity, but rather to connect a person's body to the reddit username. We don't care about who you are in real life and we don't even want to know. All we care about is that you are in the photo and you consent to being posted.

What does verification get me, and what is the flair stuff?

Verifying gives us all a little peace of mind. The mods and users know you've consented to your images being posted, and the people seeking a genuine experience know that you're not an internet porn star and rather are a little "closer to home". Once verified, you get "flair", which is a little icon that shows next to your name when you post in GoneMild.

How long does verification take?

Whilst the aim is for it to happen as soon as possible, it can of course take longer as moderators have IRL responsibilities. If you think we missed yours, don't hesitate to politely remind us.

Can verification be revoked?

Yes. If we later conclude that your verification is not authentic, or if you delete the album that you submitted to verify, you will lose your verification flair.

You said I was verified, but I don't see it...

It takes a few minutes to a few hours for your flair to show up. Note that it will only be visible next to your posts in GoneMild. You won't see it on your user page or in other subreddits.

Also note that you may have flair disabled or hidden. Be sure the "show my flair" option in the sidebar is checked.
