Been shopping R’s for about two months now. Mainly looking at 2016, 2017 model years. Located a LSG that looks nice, has about 53k on the odometer - but it’s an APR stage 2 with a DSG tune. Unfortunately, the dealer can’t give me any info on the DSG tune, and I’m not able to see this car in person. I feel like it’s too much of a risk, since some of the mods (and who installed) are a mystery. I would prefer stock over modded (this will be a daily driver for me). What does the community think - what’s the reliability like for the APR Stg 2, and what kind of nightmare scenario can I get into with an unknown DSG tune?
