If you’re like many of us, scouring YouTube, hitting the range, grinding your swing, but you’ve never had any sort of lesson… get the lesson.
I’m athletic and coachable, but had a certified YouTube University swing. Within 15 minutes, my instructor had me hitting center of club face. Half swings with a 9 iron going 75-100 yards. Hitting a draw haha
I guess my point is that you can self learn all you want, but you need some expert to glue all the pieces together. After 8-10 months of trying to learn, I learned more about the golf swing in an hour than I did all that time. Turns out I was entirely missing the function of the wrists in my swing.
Luckily I think I really clicked with my instructor and his teaching style, so I’ll be taking more lessons. Take it from me, take the lesson!
