I have questions about mods I plan to do/purchase for my GTI

I plan on buying performance catback, downpipe, intake, and turbo muffler delete for my GTI. Is a stage 1 tune necessary? Also looking for suggestions and answers if anyone has any experience with this. I don't want to make my car go hella fast, just want it to sound more aggressive and only add a few more horsepower while not having her blow up on me lol
