On Wednesday I usually shoot out a text to my "golf" group in my phone, first 3 to commit we pick a place and tee time. Sometimes only 2 can commit (like this week for example) and we're in need of a fourth... like this Sunday at the corners.

A little bit about us:

-mid 90's golfers (some days better, most days worse)

-although we respect the game/course/players we're not too serious and just like to enjoy the day. You may see a foot wedge or two in play somewhere along the way. We respect the pace and never slow down players around us. If we are having a bad day we let em play through.

-If you have ever thrown a club out of frustration, not for us... dropped an f-bomb or ten? C'mon down!

-Usually a friendly wager (a beer or something) for the 19th is placed on the back nine, sometimes we team up (best and worst vs) and then there have been days where we just decide to not bet and just cry at the 19th. (Very seldom... Ok, never, but a wager isn't necessary... but bragging rights are always given and taken).

-a few "in-round" beverages may fall out of a bag or two.

-we use carts (why walk when you can ride... besides, you ever try to drink a beer while walking?)

-been known to throw a side bet on a closest to the pin on a par three (and then "carry it over" when we all miss the green)

-Usually allow one Mulligan a 9 (unless we all screw up a drive... then we call it a do-over) Oh, and if your 1st tee shot sucks, and there is time, we call that a "breakfast ball" and hit a free one.

-if you can't take a lil fun being poked your way on a bad day ... then we will just pick on you more. SENSE OF HUMOR A MUST.

-Must be willing to play with a pink ball... if you get the highest score on a hole you play with it til someone "beats ya" (this rule may not be activated just yet, unless I can remember to pick up pink balls before Sunday... and sometimes we just forget)
