Hi everyone!
I'd love to introduce you guys to Golem Insight which is an offspring from GolemGrid. Previously GolemGrid had always been a requestor only platform that allow users to submit their tasks to the network. Today that's changing with Golem Insight for the providers!
Explore data and gather knowledge around the Golem Network.
List of the features:
- Network overview - Provides an overview of the networks computational power and a geographical location graph of the nodes on the network.
- Node Data - Search the name of a node and explore graphs with data for that node.
- Port Checker - Check your own ports and make sure that they're opened for Golem.
- Version Notifier - Sign up with your email to receive mails when a new release of Golem is out.
- Scoreboard - Brief scoreboard over who has the highest amount of successful subtasks, most subtask errors or highest core count.
Please note that some of the features above requires that your node has been connected to the GolemGrid node before it gets indexed on the site.
I've almost made a short blog post that you can find here
What's next?
Future plans for Golem Insight is to provide even more value for providers on the Golem Network.
- We've been thinking about creating a set of tools for providers based on some request from the subreddit. One could be a program/tool that stops/starts Golem based on CPU usage on your computer. So if you're currently computing something yourself and you don't want Golem to interrupt that, then the script would kick in and take care of that. This is based of the idea you can find here
- A startup for Golem that automatically launches Golem when your computer is starting up and doesn't require any user input at all.
- A troubleshooting tool that tries to automatically fix any issues that may happen when running Golem.
- Informal video guides that takes a user through the installation of Golem, how to backup your keys or how to troubleshoot issues you can run into.
The ideas above are not promises but rather ideas of what we'll be working towards adding to the site.
Any questions is truly appreciated and i'll answer every single one of them gladly.
Thanks for reading through! // Phillip
