Missing fin or different gender?

Post Body

Hiya everyone, recently I got into getting Oranda goldfish, I have 3 right now, the two smaller ones I’m not worried about.

(Photo for reference, juvenile at 3.5 inches, exact fish I ordered and I circled the fins I’m questioning)

My biggest one, Prometheus, looks to have only one lower caudal fin. Whereas the other two each have two.

It never had two and it was never specified that it was missing one before purchasing and then having for a few weeks.

And I was just curious to see if this is a way to gender my fish since I briefly worked in aquatics at a pet store, a fun fact I came to know is that some species of fish can be gendered by their fins.

I tried google but since I’m here asking personally and embarrassing myself for my ignorance, clearly I couldn’t find my answer
