Norman is an F1B goldendoodle who is almost a year old! when we first brought him home, our landlord was doing renovations so the house was very noisy for the first few months of his life but he never barked or made noises from his crate (which he is now long gone grown out of)
we noticed maybe in september or october he started barking a lot more at noises outside (we live in Boston but he's so used to city life cause thats all he's known). he'll hear a noise outside and go bizerk barking and even howling sometimes. he calms down quick after when he realizes no ones is coming inside or anything, but it still scares me when he started to bark so loud like that. he also barks at people walking on the sidewalks when we are in the car, but when we're out walking he doesnt bark- hes the friendliest dog ever.
he does have separation anxiety (thanks covid) so maybe thats it? does anyone have any advice on why he's barking so much and/or what to help with this?
EDIT: and yes i know i spelled goldendoodle wrong in the title and im really upset about it
