Any resources for making mods for b1.7.3?

As title suggests. I'm wondering if its possible to make mods for 1.7.3 nowadays, and if there any are solid resources for it? I can barely scour through youtube and google to find old content, not that there was much around for that even at the time. Wondering if anyone has had any experience with it or has links to forum guides and/or video guides, or something like that- or at least explanations of the basic framework of old mods. Is it possible? Thanks.
